In the afternoon of Sept.25, 2020, the contract signing ceremony of Weihe Guizhou USC Circulating Fluidized Bed High-Sulfur Anthracite Coal Power Plant Example Project was held grandly in the Conference room No. 5, Floor 2, Guiyang International Ecological Conference Center. PowerChina Guizhou Engineering Co., Ltd. and Guiyang Energy Group Hezhang Power Co. Ltd., on behalf of each party, sighed the contract. Leaders of Guizhou Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Guizhou Provincial Energy Bureau, Bijie Municipal People's Government, Bijie Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Hezhang County People's Government, ABC Guizhou Branch, Bijie Branch, CCB Jinyang Branch, ICBC Hezhang Branch, PowerChina Guizhou Engineering Corporation, Guiyang Energy (Group) Co. Ltd. and multiple social media witness the signing ceremony. Mr. Guowei, Chen Wanxun, Yu Hao, Zhu Zhaoqiang, Qin Tingxiang, and other leaders or department managers of the Company attended the ceremony.

Weihe plant, as the first USC Circulating Fluidized Bed High-Sulfur Anthracite Coal Power Plant Project, its unit 1 was listed as a national power example project by the National Energy Administration on Jan. 31, 2019. And the unit 2 obtained the approve of construction from Guizhou Provincial Development and Reform Commission on Dec. 11, 2019. It was invested and constructed by Guiyang Energy Group Hezhang Power Co., Ltd. and would be completed as two 660 MW ULTRA-supercritical CFB coal-fired units at one time.

On Sept. 11, 2020, PowerChina Guizhou Engineering Corporation (hereafter referred as “PowerChina Guizhou”) received the letter of acceptance from Weihe plant with the bid price of ￥3.66 billion.

It is planned to commence on October 31, 2020 and hand over to generate on November 30, 2022.
